Meet Our Doodles

Our breeding dogs are the heart of Spring Valley. Each one lives as a much-loved family pet, most with their own guardian family nearby, and each is chosen for a wonderful temperament, a beautiful fleece coat and good health. Click any dog to see their full profile, parents and health testing.

Our Resident Doodle: Cherry

Cherry, a chocolate mini Australian Labradoodle, on the farm | Spring Valley Australian Labradoodles

Spring Valley’s Cherry Blossom is Michelle’s constant companion and the one doodle who lives here with us on the farm. Now retired from our breeding program, she’s a 20 lb chocolate mini with a soft fleece coat, the perfect mix of chill and always up for an adventure. Cherry is mom to our Rosie and grandma to the Rosie and Cricket puppies.

What the Health Testing Means

Each profile lists the health testing done on that dog. Here’s what the terms mean:

OFA Hips and Elbows

X-rays of the hips and elbows evaluated by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, to screen for dysplasia.

PennHIP

A hip evaluation method developed at the University of Pennsylvania that measures how tightly the hip joint fits. A lower number means a tighter hip.

CERF (Eyes)

An eye exam by a board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist, recorded with the eye certification registry.

PRA

A DNA test for progressive retinal atrophy, an inherited eye disease. “Clear” means the dog does not carry it.

ALAA

The dog’s registration with the Australian Labradoodle Association of America.
